Based on the famous novel by Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory features an original score composed by Marc Shaiman with lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray) and also pays homage to the score from the 1971 film with songs from the motion picture including "The Candy Man," "I've Got a Golden Ticket," "Oompa Loompa Song," and "Pure Imagination."

One of literature’s most enduring classics comes to life on stage in this exciting adventure of Mowgli, befriended by Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear and threatened by the fearsome tiger Shere Khan. Along the way, he encounters a lively cast of jungle creatures in a story full of action, humor, and heart. Interwoven with Mowgli’s journey is the story of a young Rudyard Kipling, sent from his home in Bombay to a British boarding school where he faces his own “jungle” of challenges and characters who mirror those in his tales. Together, these stories highlight the timeless themes of friendship, loyalty, and the struggle between good and evil.
